EXPERIENCE: Possess 5-years of experience in commercial, institutional, industrial, or military plant maintenance. Demonstrates mechanical and electrical ability.PREFERRED: Possess experience in healthcare plant maintenance, with an established understanding of NFPA Life Safety Code 101, NYS-DOH, and DNV requirements for healthcare facilities. ABILITIES: Ability to perform the essential functions of the job. Ability to operate and understand power tools, job specific computer operations, electrical meters, electrical switches and circuit panels. Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings. Ability to perform basic computational skill sin order to troubleshoot and estimate material requirements. Director of FacilitiesNote: This position is not eligible for H1B Visa SponsorshipDescription: The purpose of this job is to lead the coordination and communication within the Engineering Department to fulfill daily and long-range functions/projects for our dynamic organization. Requires: Possess a bachelor’s degree in marine or mechanical Engineering or related field. Possess three (3) years supervisory experience. Possess a working knowledge of plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems. Knowledge of NFPA Life Safety Codes, Local Building Codes, DNV Standards, New York State Department of Health guidelines and OSHA requirements. Status: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours) Hours will fluctuate depending on departmental needs.Rate of Pay: $42.57 – $60.00 / hour – Compensation for this position is based on individual skill set, experience, and qualifications.
