Rate of Pay: $15.40 / HOUR

JOB TITLE: Certified Surgical Technologist / Operating Room Licensed Practical Nurse

JOB PURPOSE:  The Certified Surgical Technologist / Operating Room Licensed Practical Nurse performs a variety of duties as a member of the surgical team during the patient’s surgical intervention. 

EDUCATION: 

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent education. 
  • Successful completion of an accredited educational program for Surgical Technologist and/or Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program or completion of required components to satisfy LPN licensing examination. 

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:

  • New York State Surgical Technologist Certification and/or Valid New York State registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse. 
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six (6) months of hire or transfer. 
  • Completion of IV course & blood administration course within three (3) months of hire or transfer.

EXPERIENCE:  None.

PREFERRED:  One (1) year pervious Scrub Technologist experience.

SHIFT: 7:15 AM – 3:45 PM , 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM  |  STATUS: (40 HOURS) full-time

Cytotechnologist

Description:  Perform, evaluate and instruct according to written protocols & procedures within Cytologic expertise.  Interpret and assess the cellular sample for evidence of disease.  Exercise independent judgment in the laboratory.  May performed specialized laboratory functions in a separately designed laboratory area. 

Requires:  

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • B.A. or B.S. degree in Cytotechnology or B.S. degree with a major in one of the biological sciences and twelve (12) months of training in a school of Cytotechnology approved by the American Medical Association. 
  • Prefer a B.S. degree in Cytotechnology & ASCP certification. 
  • Mandatory New York State Department of Health Registration, ASCP certified or ASCP eligible. 
  • Three (3) years experience or training in Cytotechnology and Histotechnology.  

Status:  7:00am – 3:30pm (40 hours)

From:  $32.43 to $42.15 hour.  

Nurse Manager – Medical/Surgical

The Nurse Manager is the first line manager designated as the leader for a specified nursing unit, its patient population, and the assigned staff.  The Nurse Manager has 24-hour responsibility and accountability for all patient care activities taking into account the individual patient’s special physical or age-related needs.   Work is performed in accordance with established hospital standards, nursing department/unit process and outcome standards, established regulatory and accreditation requirements, and consistent with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the hospital and nursing department.

EDUCATION:  Graduation from an accredited nursing program with associate’s degree or diploma.  Employee is trained and prepared to care for the age-specific group {i.e.:  neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric} served on their assigned unit.

PREFERRED: Bachelor of Science/Nursing Degree.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: Current NYS license for Registered Professional Nurse; American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) within the first six (6) months of hire. Medication competency certification. 

PREFERRED:  Certification in area of practice. (Consistent with the type of patient population to be managed).  Two (2) years management experience.

KNOWLEDGE:  Possess a working knowledge of NYS Department of Health Code, Rules and Regulations, accreditation requirements, bargaining and non-bargaining unit agreements, OSHA, infection control, safety, body mechanics, child abuse reporting requirements, scope of practice.

SHIFT:  6:45AM – 11:15PM          STATUS: 40 HOURS (Hours will fluctuate based on departmental needs)

PAY RATE: $37.85 – $50.48

Description:  The purpose of this job is to assist the Pharmacist in technical aspects of modern pharmacy practice in performing non-professional duties where clinical judgement is not required to free the Pharmacist for professional duties.

  • Possess one (1) year of hospital Pharmacy Technical experience.
