Nursing SupervisorDescription: The purpose of the Nursing Supervisor job is to coordinate the activities of the patient care units in a centralized nursing environment. The Nursing Supervisor assists the Nurse Managers in departmental staffing on a daily basis, maintains approved standards of patient care within the Division of Nursing taking into account the individual patient’s special physical or age-related needs, investigates and resolves complaints and maintains a safe environment for staff and patients. The Nursing Supervisor has responsibility for the operation of the entire hospital in the absence of Department Heads and Administration with the support of the designated “Administrator-on-call”.Requires:High school diploma or equivalent.Graduate from an accredited nursing program with Associate’s degree or diploma. Employee is trained and prepared to care for the age-specific group served on their assigned unit.Prefer Bachelor of Science/Nursing degree.Possess current NYS license for Registered Professional Nurse; American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications within the first six (6) months of hire or transfer.Possess five (5) years of medical/surgical experience or equivalent.Prefer two (2) years nursing management experience.Possess a working knowledge of NYS Department of Health Code, Rules and Regulations, accreditation requirements, administrative policies, nursing structure standards, procedures and protocols, union contracts, child abuse reporting, OSHA, infection control, safety, body mechanics, scope of practice, documentation computers and communication systems. Possess knowledge necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on their assigned unit. Registered Respiratory Therapist***There is a $7,500 sign on bonus for part time Registered Respiratory Therapists***Description: Performs cardiopulmonary evaluations, respiratory therapy treatments, techniques and educates patients in their treatment. Possess Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy.Possess a working knowledge of respiratory care equipment, ECG equipment, medical terminology.One (1) year experience as a Respiratory Therapist (recent grads will be considered) in an acute care setting. Licensure as a Respiratory Therapist by the NYS Education Department and registration by the National Board for Respiratory Care required. Prefer two (2) to three (3) years experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an acute care setting – six (6) months to one (1) year home care setting.Status: 6:45am – 7:15pm (24 hours)From: $34.66 – $45.05 per hour.
Registered Respiratory Therapist Cardiovascular/Pulmonary RehabDescription: The purpose of this job is to perform cardiopulmonary evaluations, respiratory therapy treatments, techniques and education of the patient and to perform and coordinate the Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehab Program taking into account the individual patient’s special physical or age related needs.Associates in Applied Science degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent study meeting NBRC requirements for Registered Respiratory Therapy credential.Prefer COPD educator, Asthma Educator, Cardiac Rehab Specialist, Exercise Physiologist and Glucose Monitoring Certification.Current license from the New York State Education Department and certified by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).Possess one (1) year experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an acute care setting and Pulmonary Rehab.Prefer two (2) to three (3) years experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an acute care setting and two (2) years Pulmonary Rehab.
