Patient Care Technician – Emergency Care Center***There is a $5,000 sign on bonus for full-time Patient Care Technician and a $2,500 sign-on bonus for part-time Patient Care Technicians***The Patient Care Technician provides basic nursing care to patients, transports patients within the hospital, and monitors a safe and clean environment. The Patient Care Technician provides clerical support, including order entry, as the patient care and patient flow requires.Work is performed under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse in accordance with established hospital standards, nursing department structure and standards, established regulatory and accreditation requirements, and the individual patient’s special physical or age-related needs.SHIFT: 6:45AM – 7:15PM STATUS: 36 hoursEDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent. Employee is trained and prepared to care for the age-specific groups, which include neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/ REGISTRATION: None at start. Basic Life Support certification within six (6) months of hire, three (3) months for ECC and Float Pool positions.EXPERIENCE: One (1) year experience as an ER or Special Care Nurse Assistant, Maternity Nurse Assistant or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting.PREFERRED: Emergency Department experience, Critical Care experience, EMT experience, medical office assistant training.$17.02 per hour. PCC EMR File/Scanning ClerkDescription: The purpose of this job is to maintain the patient electronic health record and other files as needed at the Primary Care Centers. Assists receptionist staff, office coordinators and practice administration with general office duties as assigned. Requires: High school diploma or equivalent education. Possess six (6) months experience in general clerical work in a healthcare setting. Prefer one (1) year experience in a Physician office setting.
