JOB PURPOSE:The purpose of this job is to provide the Controller with confidential financial and statistical information, prepare reports and surveys to appropriate out-side agencies and provide support and assistance in the Finance Department.

EDUCATION: Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:  None

EXPERIENCE:  Possess three (3) years’ prior experience in Accounting.

SHIFT: 8:00AM – 4:30PM    STATUS: 40 HOURS (full-time)

SALARY: $28.84 – $32.21 / hour

Patient Accounts Counselor

JOB PURPOSE: Verification that all patients have proper insurance coverage necessary to cover the costs of receiving hospital care or to arrange some other mechanism for payment to ensure that the Hospital will receive payment.  Gathers all information needed in order to complete the billing process. Assist walk in patients with questions on their accounts. Updates Meditech with insurance information supplied by patient services.

EDUCATION:  Possess a High School diploma or equivalent. 

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:   None

EXPERIENCE:  No prior experience is required; however, one (1) year of prior experience in hospital patient billing is desirable.  If no prior experience, six months of on-the-job training will be provided.

SHIFT: 40 Hours

Maternity Registered Nurse (RN)

****There is up to a $30,000 sign on bonus for full time Evening/Night RN with three (3) or more years of acute hospital experience.  There is a pro-rated bonus for part time Evening/Night RN (24 hours or more) with three (3) or more years of acute hospital experience****

****There is a $15,000 sign on bonus for full time and a $7,500 sign on bonus for part time RN with up to three (3) years of acute hospital experience.****

Assistant Nurse Manager

Description:  The Assistant Nurse Manager is a Registered Nurse who works under the direction of the manager of a defined nursing department. Develops and coordinates educational programs for assigned personnel, assists with the evaluation and discipline of employees, and participates in quality improvement activities. The Assistant Nurse Manager can assume administrative responsibilities in the absence of the department Nurse Manager. Work is performed in accordance with established hospital standards, nursing department/unit process and outcome standards, established regulatory and accreditation requirements, and consistent with the philosophy, goals and objectives of the hospital and nursing department.

Requires: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program with Associate’s degree or diploma.  Employee is trained and prepared to care for the age-specific group (i.e., neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric) served on their assigned unit.
  • Prefer Bachelor of Science/Nursing degree.
  • Possess current NYS license for Registered Professional Nurse.
  • Possess current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).  Possess medication competency certification.
  • Possess five (5) years of prior nursing experience, two of which are consistent with the type of patient population to be managed.
  • Prefer two (2) years in management experience.

Status:   MED/SURG 3rd Floor Nursing/WEST – 9:45pm – 8:45am (36 hours) (hours will fluctuate depending on departmental needs)
