JOB TITLE: Office Coordinator  |  DEPARTMENT: PRIMARY CARE CENTER – SPECULATOR

JOB PURPOSE: Coordinates daily activities of the site by performing administrative clerical duties and assists provider with patient care. 

REQUIRES: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) year experience in a physician’s office or patient care setting.
  • Pediatric, Woman’s Health & Family Practice.
  • Medent, Meditech, EMR, vital signs.
  • HMO referrals, eligibility checks, insurance knowledge.
  • Multi-line phones.  Vital signs, BLS.
  • Constant walking, standing, sitting changes.

PREFERRED:

  • Two (2) years’ experience in a physician’s office or patient care setting, phlebotomy. 

SHIFT: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM  |  STATUS: 40 HOURS (FULL-TIME)

RATE OF PAY: $17.97 – $20.97 / HOUR

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

**Full-time Sign-on Bonus $10,000**

POSITION TITLE: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

DEPARTMENT: Nathan Littauer Nursing Home / Extended Care Facility

JOB PURPOSE:  The Nursing Home LPN is a care provider who assumes responsibility and accountability for his/her residents within the limits of his/her education and the Nurse Practice Act, taking into account the individual resident’s special physical or age-related needs.  The limits of the LPN’s responsibility are defined by Nursing Home policy in keeping with the NYS code, rules, and regulations and the NYS education department.

Work is performed under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in accordance with the state regulations for LPN, established Hospital and Nursing Home standards, nursing department/unit structure, process and outcome standards, established regulatory and accreditation requirements, and the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the Nursing Home and nursing department taking into account the individual resident’s special physical or age-related needs.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: 

  • HSD/GED; graduation from an accredited LPN program or completion of required components to satisfy LPN licensing examination. 

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: 

  • Possess current NYS registration as LPN. 

EXPERIENCE:  None.

PREFERRED:  One (1) or more years’ experience in skilled nursing or previous experience in a health care setting.

RATE OF PAY: $23.69 – $28.23 /HOUR     SHIFT: 10:45 PM – 7:15 AM  (40 HOURS)

Nursing Supervisor

**SIGN-ON BONUS OF $15,000.00**

DEPARTMENT: Nursing Administration – Nursing Home / Extended Care Facility

JOB PURPOSE: The purpose of The Nursing Supervisor job is to coordinate the activities of the resident care units. The Nursing Supervisor assists the clinical coordinator in departmental staffing on a daily basis, maintains approved standards of resident care within the Department of Nursing taking into account the individual resident’s special physical or age-related needs, and the investigation, and resolution, of complaints.  The Nursing Supervisor has responsibility for the operation of the entire Nursing Home in the absence of Administration with the support of the designated Director of Nursing on call. Work is performed in accordance with established Nursing home standards, nursing department/unit structure, process and outcome standards, established regulatory and accreditation requirements, and the philosophy, goals and objectives of the hospital and nursing department. 

EDUCATION: 

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program with associate’s degree or diploma. 
  • Employee is trained and prepared to care for the age-specific group (adult, geriatric) served on their assigned unit.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:  Possess current NYS license for Registered Nurse; American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.

EXPERIENCE:  Two (2) years of medical/surgical experience or two years long term care.

PREFERRED: 

  • Bachelor of Science Nursing degree.
  • Two (2) years of nursing management experience in a skilled nursing facility.

STATUS: 36 HOURS              SHIFT: 2:45 PM – 3:15 AM

RATE OF PAY: Salary range starts at $33.92 / HOUR

 

Nursing Supervisor

****There is a $15,000 sign on bonus for full time evening/night Nursing Supervisors****

JOB PURPOSE: The purpose of the Nursing Supervisor job is to coordinate the activities of the patient care units in a centralized nursing environment.  The Nursing Supervisor assists the Nurse Managers in departmental staffing on a daily basis, maintains approved standards of patient care within the Division of Nursing taking into account the individual patient’s special physical or age-related needs, investigates and resolves complaints and maintains a safe environment for staff and patients.  The Nursing Supervisor has responsibility for the operation of the entire hospital in the absence of Department Heads and Administration with the support of the designated “Administrator-on-call”.

Work is performed in accordance with established hospital standards, nursing department/unit process and outcome standards, established regulatory and accreditation requirements, and consistent with the philosophy, goals and objectives of the hospital and nursing department.

EDUCATION:  Graduate from an accredited nursing program with associate’s degree or diploma required.  Employee is trained and prepared to care for the age-specific group served.

PREFERRED: Bachelor of Science Nursing degree.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: Possess current NYS license for Registered Professional Nurse, American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications within the first 6 months of hire or transfer.   

EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years of medical/surgical experience or equivalent. 

PREFERRED: Two (2) years nursing management experience.

KNOWLEDGE: Possess a working knowledge of NYS Department of Health Code, Rules and Regulations, accreditation requirements, administrative policies, nursing structure standards, procedures and protocols, union contracts, child abuse reporting requirements, OSHA, infection control, safety, body mechanics, scope of practice, documentation computers and communication systems.  Possess knowledge necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on their assigned unit.  Possess knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.

SHIFT:  5:45PM – 6:15AM | STATUS:  36 hours (Hours will fluctuate depending on departmental needs)

RATE OF PAY: $33.92 – $ / HOUR

Patient Access Representative

The purpose of a Patient Access Representative is to perform all aspects of patient intake from scheduling appointments, insurance verification, pre-registration, pre-certification, medical necessity verification and copay/deductible collection.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Schedules patients for test adhering to established policy and procedures. 
  • Obtains, name, date of birth, social security number, address, clinical history and insurance information.
  • Pre-registers patients and obtains all detailed insurance information.
  • Collects any copays/deductibles at time of pre-registration.
  • Obtains diagnosis information and completes medical necessity verification.
  • Performs insurance verification and pre-certification, when applicable.
  • Interviews patients and obtains all necessary information to register patient for services.

EDUCATION: 

  • Possess a High School diploma or equivalent required.

PREFFERED: 

  • Possess one (1) or two (2) years of college with completion of an approved program in medical terminology.
  • Possess prior experience with patient scheduling or unit coordinator.  Knowledge of third-party payors desired.

EXPERIENCE: 

  • Possess previous experience in health care delivery system with exposure to patient registration.

SHIFT:  9:30AM – 6:00PM      |         STATUS:   40 HOURS  

RATE OF PAY:  $17.71 – $19.21 / HOUR
