Patient Access RepresentativeDescription: The purpose of this job is to perform all aspects of patient intake from scheduling appointments, insurance verification, pre-registration, pre-certification, medical necessity verification and copay/deductible collection.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.Prefer one (1) or two (2) years of college with completion of an approved program in medical terminology.Possess previous experience in health care delivery system with exposure to patient registration.Prefer prior experience with patient scheduling or unit coordinator. Patrols the building and grounds of the Hospital and Nursing Home and the Medical Arts Building to observe, prevent and report fire, theft, vandalism, accidents and unauthorized entry.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.Prefer an Associate’s degree in Emergency Management, Criminal Justice, Homeland Security or related field.Possess New York State Security Guard registration. New York State Emergency Medical Technician preferred.Possess two (2) years prior experience in a security position. Must have completed eight (8) hour Security Officer pre-assignment training course.Prefer experience in a healthcare facility.Status: Varied shifts (Casual)From: $18.49 to $21.49 per hour.
