Description:  The Nurse Assistant provides basic nursing care to patients, transports patients within the hospital, and monitors a safe and clean environment in order to assist nursing and medical personnel in the routine care of patients and the organization of the nursing unit taking into account the individual patient’s age-specific needs.  

Requires:  

  • High school diploma or equivalent.  
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within six (6) months of hire, three (3) months for ECC and Float Pool positions. 
  • Prefer Nurse Assistant Certification or previous experience in a healthcare setting.  

Status:  6:45am – 3:15pm (16 hours)

$16.91 – $19.04 per hour.  Experience differential after one (1) year of service. 

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Description:  The Primary Care Services Licensed Practical Nurse is a care provider who assumes responsibility and accountability for their patients within the limits of their education and the Nurse Practice Act taking into account the individual patient’s special physical or age-related needs.  The limits of the Licensed Practical Nurse’s responsibility is defined by Hospital policy in keeping with the New York State Code, Rules and Regulations and the New York State Education Department.

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program or completion of required components to satisfy LPN licensing examination.
  • Valid New York State registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Basic Life Support within sixty (60) days of hire.
  • Possess current experience in venipuncture, administration of PFT’s, EKG’s, Nebulizer treatments, pulse oximetry and keyboarding.
  • Possess vaccine experience and familiarity with administering pediatric vaccinations.
  • Prefer one (1) or more year’s previous Physician Office experience or previous experience in an outpatient setting.

Status:   8:30am – 5:00pm (40 hours)

Rate of Pay:  $23.69 – $30.79 per hour. 

EMR/EHR Specialist PCC

Description:  The purpose of this position is to provide EMR staff who will be directly involved in the needs assessment, analysis and build of current/future workflows that support the maintenance of the Expanse implementation to Primary/Specialty Care Center setting.  The position will support front office function, interface with providers and clinical staff and work with the ambulatory informatics staff to maintain, build or rebuild sectors of Expanse for greater efficiency and quality.  The position provides ongoing monitoring and training of all PCC contributors of the medical record in compliance with New York State Department of Health, DNV, MLMIC Standards and NYS PCMH. 

Requires:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.  
  • Prefer a two (2) year degree in Business Administration, Health Administration or related field. 
  • Possess two (2) years experience in an ambulatory provider practice setting.  Familiar with the front end processes of Expanse, use of lists to support front end and registration process.  Possess a working knowledge of Expanse and Expanse applications and interfaces.  

Status:  8:30am – 5:00pm (40 hours)  Hours will fluctuate based on departmental needs.  

$17.30 to $20.30 per hour. 

Lead Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Description:  Work in collaboration with the Supervisor of the department and the Laboratory Manager to ensure that all departmental procedures and policies are compiled with appropriately.  The Lead Clinical Laboratory Technologist will be able to perform all duties of a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.  In addition, the Lead Clinical Laboratory Technologist will be responsible for technical aspects of the department including: ensuring regulatory compliance, computer file maintenance, writing procedures, review of quality control results, maintaining instrumentation.  The Lead Clinical Laboratory Technologist will utilize technical expertise and leadership qualities to aid in problem solving within the department.  The Lead Clinical Laboratory Technologist will be able to oversee operations of the department independently, on a day to day basis.  

Requires:

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • B.S. or B.A. degree in medical technology or equivalent or Bachelors degree with a major in one of the biological or physical sciences and one year of clinical laboratory experience.
  • Prefer BSMT/ASCP.
  • Experience preferable but not required as long as education licensure requirement is met.

Status:  7:00am – 3:30pm (40 hours)

From:  $33.82 to $43.96 hour.  

Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Description: Performs various chemical, microscopic, morphologic, immunologic, bacteriologic and other tests to obtain data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Organizes and assesses all work assignments to determine priorities, to segregate test groups and to analyze results.  Performs complex laboratory tests according to written protocol. Analyzes, interprets and evaluates the reliability of test results for which he/she is responsible. Exercises independent judgment in the conduct of the clinical laboratory with minimal supervision.

Requires:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • NYS CLT registration/licensure
  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or with a major in one of the biological or physical sciences
  • One (1) year clinical laboratory experience

Status:  7:00am – 3:30pm (40 hours)

From:  $33.18 – $43.75 / hour.
