Organize and supervise the distribution area, controlling material movement throughout the hospital to include; Courier Service, Storeroom (issuing and receiving), and Forms Distribution. EDUCATION: Associate’s degree from an accredited college.PREFFERED: Bachelor’s degree in business management or related filed or equivalent.LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: None required.EXPERIENCE: Possess three (3) years’ experience in healthcare. Two (2) years’ supervisory or project management training or experience. CourierTITLE: COURIER | DEPARTMENT: MATERIALS MANAGEMENT PURPOSE: To pick-up and deliver routine/scheduled items at different locations throughout Hamilton, Fulton and Montgomery counties. Pick-up and deliver unscheduled items as required and communicated through the Materials Management Department.EDUCATION: Possesses a High School diploma or equivalent.EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years’ driving experience. PREFERRED: Knowledge of the community.LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Possess valid New York State Driver’s License.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Picks up specimens from physician’s offices and delivers them to the hospital laboratory.Provides scheduled rounds to the designated physicians, HealthLink Office, PCC’s and Post Office.Delivers necessary containers and supplies to the designated offices.Provides unscheduled courier service for Hospital departments through the Materials Management office.Delivers bank deposit for Finance/Patient Accounts on a scheduled basis.Performs maintenance checks on vehicle including visual inspection of lights, signals, tire pressure and cleanliness.
