Description:  The Ward Clerk performs defined clerical and receptionist functions on the nursing unit to provide an organized and efficient atmosphere in which to deliver patient care.

Requires: 

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.  Employee is trained and prepared to provide non-direct care for the age-specific group served on their assigned unit.
  • Preferred – Completed a medical terminology course.  Computer knowledge of Meditech system.  Previous experience as a Ward Clerk or Medical Office Coordinator or equivalent.
  • Possess previous experience in a health care setting.

  Status:   MED/SURG 3rd Floor 2:45pm – 11:15pm (16 hours)

$15.86 – $17.99 per hour.  Experience differential after one year of service. 

Health Information Management Director

Description:   The purpose of this job is to supervise and coordinate the activities of personnel engaged in transcribing, analyzing, compiling, coding, indexing and filing permanent medical records of patients.  Review records for completeness, accuracy and conformance to standards.  Prepares periodic statistical reports and compilations of the hospital’s medical activities.  Responds to requests for recorded medical information.  Work closely with Medical Staff to ensure accurate and complete records.

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Information Management.
  • Possess two (2) years management experience in Medical Records/HIM.
  • Prefer five (5) years of technical and supervisory experience.
  • Possess a working knowledge of regulations relating to the maintenance of patient records, policies regarding physician interactions with Medical Records/HIM.

Status:  8:00am – 4:30pm (40 hours)

Assistant Project Care Coordinator/Care Manager

Description:  The Assistant Project Coordinator/Care Manager is responsible to assist in all areas of revenue maximization not related to budgets or charges.  This will include, but not limited to; PCMH initial certification and recertification, MU certification for all EP Stages, organizing projects to achieve HMO and HEDIS incentives and collection of data to support Grant applications. 

Requires:  

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess Associate’s degree.
  • Prefer Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration or related discipline.
  • Possess ICD9 – CPT4 coding knowledge.
  • Possess training and/or certification in Project Management.
  • Prefer process improvement, quality improvement, meaningful use and patient centered medical home recognition.
  • Possess a working knowledge of outpatient, third party reimbursement, operations of a primary/specialty care private practice, managed care and computer operations.  Possess knowledge necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on their assigned unit.

Status:  8:30am – 5:00pm (40 hours)

From:  $17.30 to $25.95 hour.
