Nutritional Services Supervisor

Description:  The purpose of this job is to attend to the day-to-day operational needs of the department as it pertains to the patient and resident experience.  This position is also responsible for the opening duties of the department, in addition to working directly with patients and residents.  Conducts quality check of all food production for lunch and dinner.  Maintains department sanitation standards.  Assists with the training and orientation of employees.  Provides corrective actions for employees as required.

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prefer an associate’s degree in hospitality, Culinary Arts or Dietetics.
  • Possess a minimum of two (2) years in a high volume institutional or commercial kitchen setting; experience managing union staff preferred.
  • Possess a working knowledge of commercial kitchen customer service, sanitation standards, management of frontline staff and regulatory requirements.

Status:  5:30am – 7:30pm (hours will fluctuate depending on departmental needs) (40 hours)

Rate of Pay: $20.00 – $ /hour
– Compensation for this position is based on individual skill set, experience, and qualifications.

Maintenance Mechanic

Description:  The purpose of this job is to maintain all internal/external structural & mechanical integrity of all hospital and nursing home properties and equipment and to perform facility specific projects and renovations.

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess a level of mastery in one of the following: carpentry, plumbing, electrical or steel construction.  Proficiency and licensure to handle HVAC building systems, pesticides and/or a two year degree in building systems automation preferred.
  • Possess eight (8) year level of experience in commercial, institutional, industrial or military plant maintenance.  Demonstrate mechanical and electrical ability.
  • Prefer experience in health care plant maintenance with an established understanding of NFPA Life Safety Code 101, NYS-DOH and DNV requirements for healthcare facilities.
  • Ability to operate and understand power tools, job specific computer operations, electrical meters, electrical switches and circuit panels.  Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.  Ability to perform basic computational skills in order to trouble shoot and estimate materials requirements.
  • Fundamentals of mechanical equipment including pumps, fans, boilers, HVAC equipment appropriate to the needs of the facility.

Status:  7:00am – 3:30pm (40 hours)

Rate of Pay: $19.35 hour.  Experience differential after one year of service. 

Diagnostic Imaging Assistant

Description:  The purpose of this job is to transport patients to and from Imaging, answer telephones and to assist staff Technologists in various ways to complete Radiographic examination taking into account the individual patient’s special, physical and age-related needs.

  • Possess high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prefer prior Radiology experience, prior patient care experience and HIS experience.

Status:   6:00am – 2:30pm Casual

$15.40 per hour.  Experience differential after one year of service.  

Ward Clerk

Description:  The Ward Clerk performs defined clerical and receptionist functions on the nursing unit to provide an organized and efficient atmosphere in which to deliver patient care.

Requires: 

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.  Employee is trained and prepared to provide non-direct care for the age-specific group served on their assigned unit.
  • Preferred – Completed a medical terminology course.  Computer knowledge of Meditech system.  Previous experience as a Ward Clerk or Medical Office Coordinator or equivalent.
  • Possess previous experience in a health care setting.

  Status:   MED/SURG 3rd Floor Nursing Unit – 6:45am – 3:15pm (16 hours)

$15.86 – $17.99 per hour.  Experience differential after one year of service.
