Director of Recreation TherapyNathan Littauer Nursing HomeThe purpose of the Director of Recreation Therapy is to provide a strong, well-organized recreation program to meet the social, emotional, physical and cognitive needs of the residents seven (7) days a week taking into account the individual resident’s special physical or age-related needs. To develop programming to stimulate individual interests in meaningful activities. To provide a therapeutic environment for all residents. Possess a Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university with a major in therapeutic recreation or a major in recreation with an option in therapeutic recreation.Prefer Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in therapeutic recreation or a major in recreation with an option in therapeutic recreation.Certification as a Recreation Therapist. Clearance through the New York State Control Register or Child Abuse and Maltreatment.Prefer three (3) years experience as a Recreational Therapist.Possess a working knowledge of Federal and State Medicare and Medicaid conditions of participation; New York State Codes, Rules and Regulations.Status: 8:00am – 4:30pm (40 hours) Hours will fluctuate depending on departmental needs.#286

Assists the Certified Nursing Assistant in the administration of resident care. Performs services necessary for the cleanliness and safe functioning of the Nursing Unit.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.Demonstrate competency with a Competency Skills Evaluation tool once trained.Continued employment is contingent on obtaining certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant in New York State within the specified timeframe.Prefer prior experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility.Status: 2:45pm – 11:15pm (40 hours)$15.40 per hour. Experience differential after one year of service.
