Staff PharmacistDESCRIPTION: The purpose of this job is to compound and dispense pharmaceuticals and perform all pharmaceutical functions necessary to provide the Hospital & Nursing Home with modern pharmaceutical practices which include unit dose drug distribution, controlled substance distribution, drug information, outpatient prescription dispensing and patient education, taking into account the individual patient’s special physical or age-related needs.EDUCATION: Possess a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Employee is trained and prepared to care for the age-specific group served on their assigned unit.LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: Possess a New York State Pharmacist License and current New York State Pharmacist Registration.EXPERIENCE: Prior experience is not required.
