Health Information Management DirectorDescription: The purpose of this job is to supervise and coordinate the activities of personnel engaged in transcribing, analyzing, compiling, coding, indexing and filing permanent medical records of patients. Review records for completeness, accuracy and conformance to standards. Prepares periodic statistical reports and compilations of the hospital’s medical activities. Responds to requests for recorded medical information. Work closely with Medical Staff to ensure accurate and complete records.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.Possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Information Management.Possess two (2) years management experience in Medical Records/HIM.Prefer five (5) years of technical and supervisory experience.Possess a working knowledge of regulations relating to the maintenance of patient records, policies regarding physician interactions with Medical Records/HIM.Status: 8:00am – 4:30pm (40 hours)
Director of Social WorkDescription: The purpose of this position is to provide a Social Service Program that meets the psycho-social needs of the individual resident which will provide services, based upon a comprehensive assessment, which will assure the maximum attainable quality of life for the residents, the residents emotional and physical we–being, self-determination, self-respect and dignity, taking into account the individual resident’s special physical or age-related needs. The population served includes adult, geriatric residents. Under the supervision of the Administrator, the Director of Social Work is responsible for the supervision of social work services within the facility. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.Possess an Associate’s of Arts Degree in Humanities & Social Services.Prefer Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or University in Social Work or Gerontology. Holds a Master’s Degree in social work or is a Certified Social Worker and has pertinent experience in a healthcare setting; experience with geriatric population preferred.Possess a New York State Drivers License. Certified NYS Screener or obtains certificate within the first month of employment.Possess experience in long-term care and/or healthcare.Prefer experience in geriatric long-term care.Status: 8:00am – 4:30pm (40 hours) Hours will fluctuate depending on departmental needs.
