***There is a $5,000 sign on bonus for full-time Patient Care Technician and a $2,500 sign-on bonus for part-time Patient Care Technicians***

The Patient Care Technician provides basic nursing care to patients, transports patients within the hospital, and monitors a safe and clean environment. The Patient Care Technician provides clerical support, including order entry, as the patient care and patient flow requires.

Work is performed under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse in accordance with established hospital standards, nursing department structure and standards, established regulatory and accreditation requirements, and the individual patient’s special physical or age-related needs.

SHIFT: 6:45AM – 7:15PM
STATUS: 36 hours

EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent. Employee is trained and prepared to care for the age-specific groups, which include neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/ REGISTRATION: None at start. Basic Life Support certification within six (6) months of hire, three (3) months for ECC and Float Pool positions.

EXPERIENCE: One (1) year experience as an ER or Special Care Nurse Assistant, Maternity Nurse Assistant or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting.

PREFERRED: Emergency Department experience, Critical Care experience, EMT experience, medical office assistant training.

$17.02 per hour.  Experience differential after one (1) year of service.  

Registered Respiratory Therapist

****There is a $15,000 sign on bonus for full time Registered Respiratory Therapists and a $7,500 sign on bonus for part time Registered Respiratory Therapists****

Description: Performs cardiopulmonary evaluations, respiratory therapy treatments, techniques, and educate patients in their treatments.

Requires: Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy/Certificate in Respiratory Technician. Possess a working knowledge of respiratory care equipment, ECG equipment, medical terminology, etc. and 1yr experience as a Respiratory Therapist (recent grads will be considered) in an acute care setting. LICENSURE AS A RESPIRATORY THERAPIST BY THE NEW YORK STATE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT AND REGISTRATION BY THE NATIONAL BOARD FOR RESPIRATORY CARE REQUIRED.

Prefers: Possess two (2) to three (3) years experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an acute care setting – six (6) months to one (1) year home care setting.

Status:  6:45pm – 7:15am (36 hours)

From:  $34.66 – $45.05 per hour.
