Provide overall coordination, planning and management of patient, family and staff education related to breastfeeding. The IBCLC Outpatient Coordinator is an RN who assumes responsibility and accountability for the planning, priority setting, coordination and evaluation of the lactation services, of the patient care provided for designated patient populations. Assumes responsibility for the management of financial and material resources. Adheres to the NLH mission and core values. Has twenty four (24) hour accountability and responsibility for the human resource and outcome management for the patient population treated in the lactation services and all NLH staff involved. Supports, plans, implements and evaluates the goals and policies of NLH. Performs administrative duties, coordinating unit operations, reporting the the Vice President of Patient Care Services/Chief Nursing Officer.Graduation from an accredited Registered Nursing Program with Associate’s degree or diploma. International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).Prefer Bachelor of Science/Nursing degree.Possess current NYS license for Registered Professional Nurse. Possess current IBCLC certification.One (1) or more years of previous experience in obstetrics, pediatrics, antenatal or post partum health care setting as an RN. Minimum of one (1) year as an IBCLC.
